We branded Shuka. And it quickly became an ever popular brunch destination in Soho. Not-so-awkward second dates, celebratory birthdays, special occasions and a regular Tuesday night, Shuka brought people together over mezze (shared plates), with rarely a table to spare. So naturally, it was time to create an outpost in NYC’s Chelsea. Shukette was heavily influenced and inspired by the spices, flavors and vibrancy of the shuk (open-air markets) in Israel.
